Aqua (Purified Water)

Aqua, or purified water is the base that nearly every denéva formula is built on. On its own it does not treat or change the skin, but it serves as the solvent that dissolves and carries active ingredients, botanical extracts, and humectants evenly through a formula so they can be applied consistently.

Cosmetic-grade water is purified before use, filtered and treated to remove minerals and impurities that could otherwise destabilize a formula or irritate skin. When combined with humectants like glycerin, the water in a formula also contributes directly to surface hydration once applied.
